One week remains for individuals to file as candidates in the General Primary elections. New filings include two incumbents, Pct. 3 Commissioner Deryl Carr (D) and Pct. 1 Commissioner Danny Chitsey (R). Both paid filing fees to their respective party chairpersons. Franklin County Attorney Will Ramsay announced he will seek the Republican Party nomination for District Attorney to the Eighth Judicial District of Texas.
