Property records for Franklin County are available locally for a nominal fee at the County Clerk’s office. Recently, Franklin County Clerk Betty Crane advised that she received a copy of a letter from an out of state organization offering to provide a grant deed and property profile for a large fee.  See the Aug. 30 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details.
