A future expanded revenue stream from additional traffic enforcement on I-30 by Mount Vernon Police Department personnel is being explored by members of the city council. Councilmen Jeff Briscoe and Kenneth Shelton raised the possibility of city patrol officers on I-30 at a budget workshop session in August.
