The Texas Department of Public Safety has begun implementing the new proof of residency requirement for obtaining a commercial driver license. The requirements, which only applies to first-time CDL applicants, went into effect Tuesday, Sept. 4 in keeping with laws approved by the Texas Legislature and comply with federal regulations.
