David Hightower indicates the proposed pipeline path through his orchard. About a half-dozen members of the Tar Sands Blockade protest group were near his property Thursday, Sept. 6 on Hwy. 37 near the Cypress Community turnoff. The group is protesting the TransCanada (Keystone XL) pipeline which is crossing Franklin County and other northeast Texas counties on its way to a plant near Port Arthur.
