The Franklin County Water District is expected to adopt its 2012 tax rate at $.0272 per $100 of appraised property value.
The board will conduct a required public hearing on the tax rate and adopt the new rate at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18. The proposed tax rate is down slightly from the 2011 rate. See the Sept. 13 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details.
