A second seal /chip coat is to be applied to five streets inside the City of Mount Vernon Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17 and 18, according to City Administrator Eddie Turner. Streets affected include Olive, Fleming, Vatra, Nila and James streets. This is the second or final seal coating to be applied to streets that were reworked late last year or earlier this year. “This should help these streets last another seven or so years,” noted Mr. Turner.
