Fall clean-up efforts are set to begin this Saturday in both Franklin County and the City of Mount Vernon. Combined efforts are urged to clean both public and private areas in preparation for the influx of visitors to the community. There are three major events during the month October - CountryFest, Homecoming and Wine in the Pines. See the Oct. 4 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for items to be accepted and locations.
