A house in the 500 block of CR SE4340 was destroyed by fire around 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17. The house belonged to Russell Graves and was vacant at the time of the fire. According to reports, the house was being remodeled as a weekend house. Units from South Franklin, North Franklin, Mount Vernon and Winnsboro responded to the fire. No cause of the fire was available at press time.
