Harold Patterson, front left, is one of hundreds of men and women who are members of the Texas Baptist Men Relief Volunteers.  The group provides labor for feeding flood recovery units who are dispatched to areas stricken by disaster. The group has responded to calls for aid throughout the United States as well as Central and South America. Volunteers in this picture prepare meals for both survivors and disaster relief workers near the Texas coast recently damaged by Hurricane Ike. See the full story in  this week’s Optic-Herald.
