Volunteers with the Mount Vernon, North Franklin, Purley and South Franklin fire departments responded to a structure fire on Saturday, Dec. 22. Embers from a nearby brush pile are believed to have sparked the blaze that destroyed a storage building belonging to Kenneth and Marianne Eng on CR NE 2100.
