Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved $562,788 in financial assistance to the City of Mount Vernon to finance improvements to its early 1980s wastewater treatment plant. The $562,788 improvement project will be funded by a loan in the amount of $525,000 and $37,788 in loan forgiveness from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
