Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

A pile of trees, brush, and undergrowth was recently removed from the back side of the dam for the City Lake of Mount Vernon. Officials from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the city to do the clean up work to ensure the integrity of the earthen dam.
