Brandon Williams, an eight grade student at Mount Vernon Junior High School, is the school champion spelling bee winner for Franklin County.

Fourth grade students at Mount Vernon Elementary School released 100 balloons last week.

The eighth annual Partners’ Conference is set from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Region VIII Education Service Center.
