Two Mount Vernon High School Tiger Band students, J. R. Haley and Jessica Velazquez, were selected as members of the Four States Bandmasters Association Honor Band.

Marie Latortue was appointed to fill the unexpired school board seat of Tony Clayton at the January meeting of the Mount Vernon School Board.
