Laura Butler Cauthen will serve as the guest speaker at the Mount Vernon High School Commencement Ceremonies at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30 at Tiger Stadium.Mrs. Cauthen is currently serving as a veterinarian and lead doctor at The Pet Hospital in Tyler. She is serving as a mentor for the Gregg County 4-H Veterinary Enrichment Program and is a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Information Network. Mrs. Cauthen is the daughter of Rick Butler and Lu Alice Butler and is a 1996 graduate of Mount Vernon High School.
