New immunization requirements take effect Aug. 1
Changes to school immunization requirements for five vaccines take effect Aug. 1 according to the Texas Department of State Health Services officials. Parents should use the summer months to get their children's shot records updated. Changes affect mainly students entering kindergarten and seventh grade.
