Corey Kuykendall, a student in Cindy Maxton’s kindergarten class at Mount Vernon Elementary School, was one of the few students who was not happy about the first day of school. Mrs. Maxton gave him a hug and assured him that he would have lots of fun at kindergarten.
Most of the children on the kindergarten hall were excited to be at school to begin a new journey into the world of education.
