Amanda Clay of Mount Vernon was recently elected as a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society at Texas A&M University - Commerce. Active membership in the organization is restricted to the top 10 percent of members of the junior and senior classes. See the Dec. 3 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
