Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Baily Hunnicutt, daughter of Bruce and Becky Hunnicutt, showed the Grand Champion Steer in the annual Mount Vernon / Saltillo FFA and 4-H Project Show on Saturday, March 27. The Grand Champion Steer was shown as a part of the Mount Vernon FFA. The steer, bred by Danny Chitsey, weighed 1,235 pounds and was auctioned to Farm Country of Sulphur Springs for $3,322.50. A&S Air Conditioning added $1,000 for a total price of $4,322.50. For more information, see the April 1 edition of the Optic-Herald.
