The Mount Vernon FFA Horse Judging team earned a chance to compete at the state horse judging contest in Lubbock on Saturday, April 17.
The group earned the spot at state after placing sixth at the area competition in Marshall on Tuesday, April 6. Members of the team are Amanda Anderson, Paige Penny, and Trent Robinson. For more information, see the April 15 edition of the Optic-Herald.
