Members of the Mount Vernon Young Farmer chapter attended the State Association of Young Farmers of Texas 55th annual convention, Jan. 8-11 at the YO Resort and Conference Center in Kerrville, Tex.
William Kirby will be serving as State President of the Association for the 2009 year. During the convention Joyce Kirby was elected as in-coming state officer from Area VI and Jeffery Kirby placed third in the Farm and Ranch Management Contest. Members from Mount Vernon attending were Ben and Connie Newcomb, Ed and Joyce Kirby, David and Cindy Maxton, and Jeffery Kirby.
