Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Mount Vernon High School junior and senior art students were given the opportunity to attend the Northeast Texas Community College Art Day earlier this month. Students entered work to be judged and attended art classes at the college.  In the junior division, J. J. Rivera, Pablo Mendez, Stormy Edge, Heather Dearing and Jessica Kinney were recognized for their artwork.  In the senior division, Adriana Sanchez, Troy Dunkin, Jerrod Doss, and Toni Brustrom were recognized and received scholarships.
