Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Renovations have begun at Mount Vernon ISD. The concrete stairs and walkways that connect each of the campuses have been removed along with the paving in the mall area. The brick wall in front of the administration building will also be demolished. The drainage systems below the concrete will be replaced before the walkways are recreated. Asbestos removal has also begun in several of the campuses.
