Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Wilson McNeary, grandson of Charles and Joyce Slaten of Mount Vernon, graduated on May 18, 2010, from Charleston High School, in Charleston, Mo. He was co-valedictorian of his class and a recipient of the $100,000 Proton Energy Scholarship. He is the son of William and Charlotte McNeary of Charleston.  He plans to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia and study chemical engineering.
