Northeast Texas Community College recently announced their honor students for the Spring 2010 semester. Fourteen students from Mount Vernon were listed on the Academic Honors list at the college. To be listed on the academic list, a student must have taken 12 or more hours and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average. Mount Vernon students honored were Zachary Dixon, Meredith Fox, Mary Galloway, Hannah Jarvis, Cody Jones, Valton Kenemore, Benjamin Lawrence, Adriana Lopez, Eduardo Luz, Amanda Massey, Danny Nguyen, Kelli Pettie, Victoria Raper, and Amber Whitlock. Nolan Garmon and Emily White of Saltillo were listed on the academic honor list. Kara Miller, Pete Robles, Chelitta Thomas and Daniel Whitlock of Mount Vernon were listed on the Special Academic Merit list. To be eligible for the list, a student must have taken between seven and 11 hours and earned a 4.0 grade point average.
