Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

State Representative Mark Homer presented a Texas flag that flew over the capitol in Austin to a group of fourth grade students for use at the new Mount Vernon Elementary School. Those chosen to receive the flag were Lauren Richards, Braden Bolin, Daniel Arnold and Shelby Reed. They were joined by aide Glenda Lockaby, Elementary Principal Denise Moulton, and their teacher B. J. Gates.
