Volunteers sought

Print

Members of the staff at Mount Vernon Elementary School are still seeking volunteers to be a part of the Teacher Rescue Squad.
“We want to reach out to our parents and grandparents to provide assistance to them and to let then provide assistance to us,” Mrs. Moulton said. The school is looking for help in the teacher workroom. Teachers will prepare a “wish list” of projects with which they need help. Volunteers will create and assemble bulletin boards, cut patterns, make copies, trim and laminate materials, assist with classroom projects and music programs, design props and costumes, and assemble weekly packets for the teachers. Anyone interested in participating in the program is asked to meet at the elementary office at 8 a.m. each Wednesday.  For more information, see the Sept. 2 edtion of the Optic-Herald.
