The second grandparent/foster parent support meeting sponsored by Mount Vernon Elementary School is set for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 in the pre-k and kindergarten pod at the school. A representative from the Child Advocacy Center in Winnsboro will be the guest speaker at the event. They will discuss programs that are available to assist grandparents and foster parents in raising children. Donuts and coffee will be served at the event.
