Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

For the third consecutive year, Mount Vernon schools as a district missed meeting Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), but each of the four campuses met AYP individually, according to Carolyn Newsom, District Curriculum Director. The school is working with representatives from Region VIII to formulate a plan for improvement.
