Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Members of the Mount Vernon High School Spanish Club collected 38 shoeboxes of gifts for the Operation Shoebox project in Caddo Mills. Each year, the shoeboxes full of toiletry items, toys, clothes, and school supplies are delivered to children in Guatemala and other Central American countries. The local students purchased items for the boxes as a service project.
