School wants to partner with county to repair district roads

Print

Members of the school board are interested in a partnership with Franklin County to repair the two miles of roads surrounding the MVISD campuses. Facilities Manager David Rains attended the June 13 commissioner’s court meeting and presented the school’s request. “I asked them to consider doing some repairs, laying base material, and applying a seal coat on Tiger Field Road and South Tiger Road,” Mr. Rains said. “This would provide a band aid of about three years.” For more information, see the June 16 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
