Kaylee Crabtree exhibits the proper way to safely exit a bus during an emergency. The procedure is explained as part of a bus evacuation drill that is performed twice a year at Mount Vernon ISD.
During the training, all students are required to watch a 15 minute bus evacuation video and then are placed on buses to practice the safe exiting routine. Daniel Benton stands at the door of the bus to help those needing assitance exiting. (Optic Photo by Marie Dacus ‘09)
