Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Saltillo Independent School District maintained its Recognized rating from the Texas Education Agency for 2011. The district has been rated either Exemplary or Recognized for 13 of the last 15 years. “We’re pleased we maintained a Recognized rating as a school district, despite the more rigorous standard,” said Tim Lane, Saltillo ISD Elementary Principal. “Saltillo ISD continues to outperform the state at every grade level and in every content area tested.” For more information, see the August 4 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
