The “Breakfast for Champions” program will be in its ninth year at Mount Vernon ISD this year and is expanding to offer free breakfast to children at the intermediate school.
Free breakfasts will be served to students in grades pre-kindergarten through sixth grade in their respective cafeterias. Breakfasts will not be served in the students’ classrooms this year. For more information, see the August 18 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
