Mount Vernon Junior High has 22 qualify for Duke Talent Search

Twenty-two qualify for Duke Talent Search at junior high.Mount Vernon Junior High has had 22 seventh grade students qualify for participation in the 32nd annual Talent Search of the Southern and Midwestern United States. Qualifying scores were based on the results of the Spring 2011 TAKS tests from their sixth grade year and scoring in the 95th perecentile of all students.
The Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) in Durham, North Carolina, is a non-profit educational organization established with the premise that the future of this nation depends upon the fullest development of the best intellectual resources.
