The Mount Vernon Intermediate School beginner band received a second division rating at the 39th annual Sandy Lake Park FunFest on Friday, March 27.
They received two second division ratings and one first division rating from the three judges, earning a second division trophy. The band’s program included Zip Drive and Swing Street. The Beginner Band’s next performance will be given on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the annual Mount Vernon ISD Instrumental Music Department spring concert.
