A special meeting has been called for the Board of Trustees of the Mount Vernon Independent School District for 6 p.m. on Monday, April 27 in the high school lecture hall. The meeting is to consider the Construction Manager at Risk contract for the new elementary building. Gallagher Construction Services (GCS) was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk in February 2009. The group has since been in negotiations with the school district’s legal counsel, Henslee Swartz.
