Several banquets are upcoming to recognize students at Mount Vernon ISD. The annual Mount Vernon FFA Banquet is set for Monday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  Chapter members and special guests are invited to the event. Invitations were mailed earlier this month. The event will be catered by Ernie’s Barbecue. The Mount Vernon Tiger Marching Band will have their annual banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 14 in the school cafeteria. The event will be catered by El Chico.  The Mount Vernon Rotary Academic Banquet is set for Tuesday, May 19 in the school cafeteria from 6 to 8 p.m.  The banquet is sponsored each year by the Rotary Club to honor students for their academic achievements.  Tickets for the event can be purchased for the students’ parents and families in the high school office or at the door.
