Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Mount Vernon ISD students out-performed the state and regional averages on the 2012 STAAR tests. The district had an 81 percent passing average across all tests compared to 74 for the state and region. MVISD received raw scores last summer, but passing standards and final test results were not released until early February.
