Members of the Mount Vernon School Board canceled the May 2013 election and declared unopposed candidates Richard Carr, Aaron Sanders and Marie Latortue as duly elected. They also approved spending up to $43,000 from the fund balance to purchase cylinders and door handles for 165 doors at the main campus.
