The Mount Vernon Tiger basketball team began their season on Tuesday, Nov. 17 with games against Cooper. Scores for the games were not available at press time.  The team will face Harmony at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 in Tiger. Gym.

The teams competing in the Franklin County Youth Soccer Association will have their closing ceremonies on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the soccer fields on CR  NW1030. Following each game throughout the day, the teams will celebrate with refreshments and players will receive participation awards and their sponsors will be recognized.

The Franklin County Tigers 10 and under traveling softball team played in the Thanks For Giving Food Drive Tournament in Longview on Saturday, Nov. 7 and finished in second place.
