The Mount Vernon Junior High Lady Tiger basketball teams started their season on Monday, Nov. 9 with games against Mount Pleasant. All four of the Mount Vernon teams came home with victories.

On an apparent botched punt attempt, Carrell threw the ball downfield to Jake Dickson for a 36 yard gain and a  first down in the second quarter of the game on Friday.

The Franklin County Youth Football Association’s Super Bowl is set for Saturday, Nov. 14 at Tiger Stadium.
