The Mount Vernon Tiger football team will be hosts for the Pleasant Grove Hawks Friday night at Tiger Stadium. Kick off will be at 7:30 p.m. The Hawks defeated Atlanta 42-14 last week and are 1-1 in District 16-3A competition. The previous week, they fell to Libery Eylau 34-14. Sign ups for the 2009-10 Little Dribblers Youth Basketball season are set for Saturday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 30. Parents can sign up their children at the youth football/soccer games or before and during the Tigers vs. Pirates football game at Tiger Stadium on Friday, Oct. 30.
