A Mount Vernon comeback fell short when Atlanta broke the Tiger’s 3-2 lead in the top of the seventh inning, and Atlanta pulled out a 5-3 victory Monday night in Atlanta.
The Tigers beat the Rabbits 4-3 in their first match at home, but Atlanta had all the answers on Monday night. The game ended Mount Vernon’s 4 -6 district season and advanced the following District 16-AAA teams to the playoffs: Pleasant Grove 10-0, Atlanta 6-4 and Pittsburg 5-5.
