The Mount Vernon Lady Tiger softball team swept the board with top honors at the annual District 16-3A coaches meeting earlier this month. Dana Bohlken was named coach of the year. Cristy Whitlock was named most valuable player, JaKayla Rogers was offensive player of the year, Kelsey Whitlock was defensive player of the year, and Raven Norman was newcomer of the year.
