The Mount Vernon Tigers competed in the New Boston 7-on-7 Football Tournament Saturday, June 13 and won first place.  The team was scheduled to play Linden-Kildare and Winnsboro on Tuesday, June 16 in Pittsburg.
They will face Rivercrest at 6 p.m. and Redwater at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23 in Pittsburg. The finals tournament is set for Saturday, June 27.
