Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Mount Vernon High School junior varsity cheerleading squad attended the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Summer Camp at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio on July 21 to July 25 and received three superior ratings and blue ribbons. Members of the squad include sophomores Katon Trantham, Chelsea Applegate, Elizabeth Linseisen, Dominick Araiza, Summer Weatherford, Malori Carr, Haley Golden, Tedi Griffith, and mascot Destiny Bell.  Freshman members include Jesi Hines, Kalynn Reeves, Shelby Cannaday, Tori Torres, and Deidra Case.
