The annual Meet the Tigers celebration is set for Saturday, Aug. 9 beginning at 10 a.m. The event provides the first public glimpse of Mount Vernon High School UIL participants for the 2009-2010 school year.
An inter-squad football scrimmage will be at 10 a.m. at the football practice field on the south side of the school campus. A pep rally will be conducted in the mall area following the practice at approximately 11 a.m. Introductions of the football players, cheerleaders, flag team members and band squad leaders will be made.
