The Franklin County Sheriff’s Posse Annual Labor Day Rodeo drew competitors locally, around the State, and from other states for the nine events offered.
A total of 180 cowboys and cowgirls registered as contestants in the various events offered,
according to the secretary with the Wing Rodeo Company. More than $12,000 in prizes was awarded in the various competitions. For more information and a listing of winners, see the Sept. 10 edition of the Optic-Herald.
